Christmas Carols Rewritten with a MetaSpiritual Interpretation You Can Sing!
We thought we’d do something special for the Christmas season: provide metaphysical interpretations of some popular Christmas songs, written so you can sing them! We know some of you love the traditional hymns and Christmas songs, but sometimes the words of those old favorites clash with our more elevated Consciousness. So, we thought a ‘both/and’ Christmas carol approach would be in order. We’ve included both the traditional words followed by a MetaSpiritual version that is written to fit with the music! Enjoy!
You have our permission to copy and share these with others as you enjoy the holiday season from a MetaSpiritual perspective!
Gratitude Gifts are gratefully accepted, and can be made here!
Go Tell It On The Mountain
Go Tell It on the Mountain (traditional):
Chorus: Go tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere,
Go tell it on the mountain ~
That Jesus Christ is born.
While shepherds kept their watching,
O’er silent flocks by night,
Behold throughout the heavens,
There shone a holy light …
Repeat Chorus…
************
Go Tell It on the Mountain (MetaSpiritual):
Chorus:
I’m raising my awareness
Moving beyond embedded thinking
I’m raising my awareness ~ The Truth is born in me.
I long for hope and meaning;
I search but still don’t see
Until an inner waking expands the Truth as me …
Repeat Chorus

O Little Town of Bethlehem
O Little Town of Bethlehem (Traditional):
O little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see thee lie;
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep,
The silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth,
The everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the years,
Are met in thee tonight.
For Christ is born of Mary, And gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep
Their watch of wondering love.
O morning stars together Proclaim the holy birth,
And praises sing to God the King, And peace to all on earth.
************
O Little Town of Bethlehem (MetaSpiritual):
Expanded is my Consciousness; I claim the Divine as me.
The world of fear does not live here, the Deeper Truth I see.
Though I may think in error, the Light within me shines.
I live the Truth and claim my Good, I know I am Divine.
I know within the Truth I Am. I’m worthy and Divine;
Let error go, For this I know ~
My power within can shine!
I live in Truth proclaiming ~ The Truth as me stands tall!
May all I think, and say, and do bring joy and peace to all.

We Three Kings
We Three Kings (Traditional):
We three kings of Orient are
Bearing gifts we traverse afar.
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.

Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect Light.
************
We Three Kings (MetaSpiritual):
Order comes from Consciousness High,
Truth expressing unifies;
Living in this world of error
My Higher Self fortifies!
Chorus:
Oh, Cosmic Self and Radiant Light,
Love as me is shining bright.
Overcoming, growing, loving,
Truth prevails and all is right.

We hope you enjoy our metaphysical treatments of some classic Christmas tunes. This inner awakening is possible because the Power of the Ground of All Beingness permeates our conscious, subconscious, and super-conscious states of mind. We hope from this reading you can see why we prefer a MetaSpiritual treatment over the literal interpretations of scripture, and songs based on those literal interpretations. Literal interpretations do not bring the depth needed to understand universal truths. As serious Truth students, teachers, and practitioners, we want to help raise the spiritual consciousness of humankind one thought, one verse, one song at a time.
Ours is just one way each of these carols can be reinterpreted MetaSpiritually. We invite you to take a stab at it yourself, and come up with YOUR words to make these old familiar tunes sing in tune with your consciousness!
May you truly raise your awareness and have an enriching Christmas season … as you walk the Spiritual path on positive, practical, prosperous feet.
